ABOUT THE COURSE WORK

The people who can use technology were always one step ahead. In today, creative artist produce new things with using digital technologies. Interaction is a way of sensing the relationship between people and objects. The course work program provides to student new opportunities to learn something new about electronic devices for using their projects.

The course program' aim is learning how to use sensors for any PHYSICAL INTERACTION purpose and SOUND AND IMAGE PROCESSING. Any electronic devices related to coursework. Our focus is on people and devices. The coursework covers both a technical introduction to basic electronics, analog circuit design, Arduino (micro controller) and Pure Data software, as well as design concepts and philosophies for building interactive objects. Students from all backgrounds learn to build interactive physical systems by using software and hardware that can sense and respond to the analog world.

When finishing the course work, every participating will learn how to use sensors to communicate with computer. Examples of function, scheme and sensor assist to students. The course also includes an introduction to the use of the PureData(PD) software for creating interactive audio and video systems. Also student can learn creative thinking about electronic to use their fantasia.

GOALS THE PROGRAM ;
Students will learn basic technical skills in electronics. They will understanding of how physical interactions and collaboration enhance creativity in people. To realize this goal, you'll learn how a computer converts the changes in energy given off by our bodies (in the form of sound, light, motion, and other forms) into changing electronic signals that it can read interpret. You'll learn about the sensors that do this, and about very simple computers called micro controllers that read sensors and convert their output into data. Every participating will make a project exhibit their artwork to the end of the program. SAE exhibition place opened for all student in the end of coursework program.

Assignment;
Create a new personal blog or web page for yourself where you can post your weekly assignments, work, personal course contents and your hot links. Observe interactive products/installations on the street/outdoor environment. Choose one interesting medium for physical interaction and make photos of it. Publish photos in your new web blog or page with details of it's functional description and it's approach for physical interaction.Sign up for the Physical Interaction e-Mailing List.

Assignment;
Buy some toy and bend it. In addition, Imagine and create a concept for a fantasy interactive outdoor installation. This installation should be visually communicative with people around on street, square, metro, shopping mall, etc. must based on physical interaction methods. Visualize your concept; explain functionality and your approach for physical interaction. Publish the content in your web page.

Assignment;
Choose something to control (sound, video, motor, light, etc.), choose a controller (joystick, sensor, etc.), and choose a type of extra feedback (vibration, light, force, sound, etc). Create an instrument where the user controls the output while getting additional feedback from the instrument.
